Microenterprise Development

Microenterprise Development or MED, is working with poor people with small amounts of money, in order, to serve their particular financial needs for savings, credit, and insurance.

Through microenterprise development the working poor can receive small loans and business training that can change their lives. The clients can repay their microloans through the growth of their small businesses and increase the security and well-being of their families.

Celebrating five years in microfinance, Step Ahead is now reaching some 800 client member families in Bangkok.

Saturday mornings in Klong Toey can be full of fun, laughter, and learning when some 50 children of our members join in Step Ahead Kids Club.  What’s more, some of those very motivated children also study English in the afternoons after school.
