In partnership with Khun Aroon, a Kanchanburi goat farmer, and his community on the Thai–Burmese border, Step Ahead provided a 150,000THB micro-loan (USD$4,400) to start a pilot goat breeding program.
This small step has grown into an independent goat industry with over 300 animals now providing a previously poor and underserved community with new ecnomic opportunities and a bright hope for their futures.
